Organizational Background and Operational Context
RAGJ is a non-profit organization established in 2013 with a focus on promoting the voices, and social and economic opportunities of girls and women in Cameroon. RAGJ engages girls and women in decision-making through action research, monitoring the effectiveness of laws for gender integration in good governance programming, building the capacity of citizens, and information sharing and networking. Through evidence-based advocacy strategies, RAGJ addresses microeconomic and macroeconomic governance issues to promote women’s economic participation and overall progress.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Driver located in Bamenda. The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment, supplies, and staff in a vehicle to various locations within the Northwest (Belo, Momo, and Ngokentunjia divisions), West region (Bamboutos division) and the surrounding regions. She/he will also need to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle and ensure compliance with RAGJ's vehicle usage policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experienced driver with certification (Category C).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate challenging road conditions and traffic.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Fluency in English and working knowledge of French is preferred.
- Experience in defensive driving is a plus.
- Prior work experience with non-profit organizations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
