Note from the Executive Director
Thank you for visiting RAGJ’s website.
In 2013, I desired to create a “Platform of engagement” for young Cameroonians passionate about creating change while improving their professional competencies. This unique journey began when six other women (aged 21-27) who were resolute in their mission to amplify the voices, choices, and social and economic opportunities of girls and women in Cameroon joined me to create RAGJ.
We are proud “kontri”—local researchers; we are awesome! Our efforts to integrate the Assets-Based Community-driven Development (ABCD) methodologies in our work have become a remarkable part of our identity.
Our values remain a significant determinant of how we work, and our constant commitment to integrity helps us build an ethical culture founded on honesty, fairness, and trust. This implies acting beyond legal complacency and adopting ethical standards that improve professional behaviours, decision-making, and good corporate governance.
RAGJ is a learning organisation that strives to deliver excellent services to disadvantaged populations and relevant institutions across Cameroon. We have developed systems, structures, and processes that improve our internal governance practices to reinforce our work at both strategic and programmatic levels.
We remain committed to expanding how our team engages with each other and the communities and institutions we work with. We are constantly innovating and developing ourselves, expanding different aspects of our operations to work more collaboratively and improve our successes.
So far, we are delivering on our short-term strategic plan for 2021-2025, which focuses on innovating and building resilience in conflict through an integrative emergency management strategy for grassroots communities and institutions in Cameroon. In the long run, we hope RAGJ becomes an African Research Centre examining the intersection of Law, Governance, and Gender Justice.
On behalf of RAGJ, I invite you to explore our website and learn more about what we offer. We hope you will see why we love what we do and join us in contributing to positive change in communities.
Sincerely
Patience N. Agwenjang
